Root Cause Identified

We have completed our investigation into the incident and would like to share the root cause and resolution.

What happened:

The backend API became unavailable because the custom domain assignment for the API were not set, causing requests to the API's public endpoint to fail.

Resolution:

To immediately restore functionality, we provisioned a new domain for the backend API and updated the application to point to this new endpoint.

Next steps:

We are working with our hosting provider to resolve the custom domain issue. In the meantime, we will ensure fallback domains are always available in case of similar issues in the future.
